Advanced Training Program
If you have run at least one marathon and are looking to achieve a new marathon PR, the Seattle Fit ATP (Advanced Training Program) may be just what you need. This training program is based on improving your core strength and speed to help achieve your goals. It is more intense than the normal Seattle Fit training program and is not designed for first time runners - it is a larger time commitment and involves more intense cross-training and weekly mileage.
The ATP is comprised of six phases: Preparatory, Speed Strength Circuit, Special Strength Training, Specific Strength Hill, Explosive Strength Routines and Recovery. There is a lot of variety between the workouts, each designed to improve your running.
We will meet as a group on Saturdays and one evening during the week. Plus there are additional days of running to be completed on your own.
